Are Toyota Corolla head lights are on already before engine starts

I have a corolla 2007. During day time when I start Engine, the head lights go on
although lights switch at right/left indicator lever is OFF. And lights remain on during my
drive. IS IS NORMAL? Is this Factory Set?

Yes. You have DRL's. Daytime running lights All 9th generation Corollas do. All is well They are 40watt low beam. Regular low beam is 65 watt

But hold on..I just now saw "before engine starts" ..unless you mean when you turn key before engine starts. But without key in 'run'; then no, something is not right
