Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I'm having some issues with my 07 Hyundai Accent GS which has 163,000 miles on it. In the past week my car has been acting up. when the car sits for some time like while I'm at work, its very hard to start. it takes about four try's to get the engine to fully start and when it does there is quite a bit of rough ideling accompanied with some shaking. Also car is hesitant when I excellerate or am moving from a red light. the car after warmed up from driving home seems to start better but still takes a longer time to turn over. another symptom is when I'm at idle the car will drop from 900 RPM to 500 RPM and fluctuate three times a minute. I have in the last week replaced the following. The TPS, the Crankshaft Postion sensor, The fuel pump, the purge valve, both O2 sensors. what else could it be?  A IAC? I wouldn't think that would cause the rough starts from sitting. Check Engine Light was off for a bit after the O2 sensors were replaced but is back.

Yes a year ago and 3/4 coils. so maybe a coil, I'm getting one from rock auto. I took it to Meineke initially and had it for a couple days then gave it back with telling me it was mechanically sound and wires looked good.

Could be that would explain random cranking.

Have the car scanned for code again. If it leads you back to o2 sensors, have the catilac converters checked.

There's a coil in the middle of fire wall on the engine , I forget whats its called . it regulates the fuel to the injectors . Has a 3 prong connector and a tube comes out the end of it . You can't miss it and its a little difficult to get at . If I remember what it is , Ill post it . I had the same problem . The part is bout 60 to 80 dolares but just get it from junkyard .

My neighbor put his machine on my 2017 Hyundai Accent Hatchback because it was doing the same thing your car is doing and it showed him while the check engine light was on that it was the crankshaft sensor so he replaced it and it runs and starts great all you have to do is Google crankshaft sensor for your car and it will show you where that part goes
