How do I know if my key fob is not programmed to my car?

I had to order a new key fob cause my key broke
and I lost it but still have the original key to my car.  
So after I ordered a new fob from
Carsandtrucksrepair. And programmed the key fob.  
I guess from trying to start the car it sounds
horrible, grindy in a way.  I did have a low battery
but charged it and checked my fuses.  What else
can be my problem.  Can it still be in my key fob?

The key fob only is associated with the doors opening and closing, not any grinding noises in the engine bay. Open the hood while someone tries to start the vehicle to determine where the noise is coming from. Report back.

Most likely not the key fob. Sounds like even if you charged the battery you do not have proper amps should be around 12.6. Take the battery and have it checked out secondly check the starter. Starter could be going out and thirdly check the cables to the starter they could be corroded not providing proper current. But keep this in mind the fob not only has to be programmed for the doors it also has to be programmed to start the car if you did not have the fob programed for both the starter could be cranking but the security system from the fob will not let it start this is very important because if you tried it too many times to start it could have hurt your starter and drained the battery
