volvo 960 and before i just jump in
and start taking stuff apart i was
looking for a how-to, tips, hints, ne
suggestions please?

how about disconnecting the battery,sos you don't light up your box wrench that's worth a tube of unginteen.

common sense ,you'll do alright just get it up to working height and use jack stands don't ever trust a hydraulic jack 100% if seal blows ,they drop fast, you probably know that, just a reminder.
