Is an NA7542110 fuel tank compatable with NA0342110 on a 1990 Miata with an automatic transmision?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1990 Canadian Miata with a leaking gas tank. Mazda says the part
number is NA0342110, but I can't locate one. There are tanks available with the
part number NA7542110, but I need to know if it will fit.

The dealer I originally contacted was not much help other than saying the part has been discontinued and warned me about buying a tank with a different part number. I have calls into a few more to see if they can cross reference the part numbers. Don't want to buy a tank and do all the work to remove the old one only to find out the one I bought does not fit.
