1990 Mazda Miata... headlights work but won't retract... any ideas???

Headlights work, but they will not retract... Any ideas??? Thanks in advance...

Have they ever worked for you? The problems with these types of retractable headlamps is the motors that drive them open and closed. This is not just a Mazda issue but many manufactures have seen these issue. If you can access the drive mechanism see if they look clean and free moving. Does one side work differently than the other? Are both completely dead? May be a fuse for the motors. Good luck!
