Please let me know if you know about the type of oil and brake oil for my VW Passat? Where can I get the complete information about how to maintenance my car? Thank you.

Hello henryiriawan-- Your 2000 Volkswagen Passat, and all the other Volkswagen and Audi engines of that year, require a 5w40 synthetic oil. The brake fluid is Special DOT 4. Complete information about the maintenance requirements of your car is available at any Volkswagen dealer. Good luck from Bovan.

About the 5W40, can I use the 5W30? Because in here, I cannot find that type of oil. In the manual, it stated that. Thank you once again for your answer.
