Question type: General

My 2003 turbo beetle has a loud slamming noise coming from top window area. This noise happens when I stop. It sounds like something sliding back from the top and hitting the top part of the window. I have a sunroof and it works fine and the slamming sound happens with the roof open or closed. Just can't figure why this is happening.....any ideas???

Most likely, the integrated spoiler that deploys at speed from the top of the rear window is retracting into place with some force...it may need lubrication and/or adjustment. Do consult a VW service shop ASAP.
