Service engine light stays on in my 99 chevy lumina

My service engine light stays on all
the time now in my 99 chevy
lumina. It use to just come on when
I needed an oil change. Any ideas
why this is happening

drop by a auto zone or an advance auto store, they will put a obd computor on it for free and tell you what codes are showing up ,
