Overheating problem

Asked by Nikkipayta Apr 19, 2019 at 09:32 PM about the 1995 Volkswagen Cabrio 2 Dr STD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All of the sudden my windows started fogging up
when I would turn the heater on, no matter what I
do I can't get the fog off the inside of the
windshield. There is a strong smell of hot
coolant coming through the vents. I was reading
on one of these forums that you're only
supposed to use pink or blue coolant and I've
been using green could that be a problem? Then
today this red temperature light started blinking
and my car still wasn't reading hot and I don't
know what the problem is. Can someone please
help me??? Thank you for your time and help!!
