Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys, I just recently purchased a pre-owned 2006 C230. I was going down a poorly lit
street and hit a pot hole relatively hard. Not soon after that (10 minutes) I noticed the
vehicle was giving me problems. At first, the car felt like it didn't have the same pick up
as it had previously had pushed the gas. Then it seemed like it was stuck in one gear. I
would speed up and the RPMs would jump but then would just KEEP going up without
ever going back down as when the car switches gears. I then noticed the indicated that
lets me know if I'm in park, drive, etc…looked funky as well. It did not indicate what i was
in. it had PRND_ _ on the screen and where as the rectangle is usually around the letter
of what function your car is in (park, reverse, etc,) my rectangle is on the far right on an
empty spot. Any ideas of what the issue may be?

well must have been one hard hit..you have jarred one of your TCM fuses lose or blown if theres no underneath damage or fluid leak you jarred a fuse or trans relay to lose contact but sounds like a blown fuse you have 3 fuse panels for that type car get a test light key on test both sides of the micro fuses and push them in with your finger to insure good contact your main relays are under the hood push them down as well plastic loves to jump...lol

There are altogether 4 reasons for that. No.1 transmission fluid level either too low or too high. No.2 there is a fluid leak. No..3 conductor plate faulty or soaked in oil due to leak n No.4 there isn't enough electricity reaching ur transmission
