How many labor hours to replace engine assembly in a 1996 Ram 3500 8.0L V10?

Asked by GuruGPM6Q Aug 28, 2020 at 12:29 PM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 3500 ST Club Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What should be the total hours: Pulled passenger side head off in hopes head
gasket was only needing replaced.  Found it needs an engine.  What would be
the total labor time for pulling the one head, R&R engine assy, and flushing the
radiator?

About 3 days total. That is a lot of money to put in a 24 year old truck. Unless you can do the work yourself I would pass. Once you get it running a lot of other problems are going to pop up!
