Gas Mileage on a 2002 Turbo 5.9L 6 Cylinder 24 Valve High Output Cummins

Asked by Joe Apr 01, 2017 at 08:49 PM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: General

Hi,

I have never owned a diesel and I want a truck as a utility vehicle and 4X4.  I
found a truck that is actually more vehicle than I really need but the price may
be very right...

What kind of milage can I expect out of the above engine?  They have also put
the following into the vehicle (I'll probably sell the Leer Top):
Optima Batteries
New AFE Intake
Banks Monster Ram
Southbend Ceramic clutch and Slave Cylinder
APR Head Studs
Tekonsha Sentinel Brake Controller
Edge 30301 Comp Module
4" Straight Pipe
4" Lift
Airdog II Fuel Delivery
5th Wheel Ready
Line-x Bed Liner
Amsoil Bypass Filtration System
Leer Aluminum Cap
Over-sized Intercooler Piping
Extra Hub Assembly (new)
Maxx Custom Swaybar links

Thanks
Joe

With all the mods this diesel has had I would avoid it. It likely has been abused as most of the highly modded ones are.
