why won't my Dodge 2500 turn off?

Asked by prideaslan3 Sep 19, 2013 at 01:35 AM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 2500 Laramie SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just got a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins diesel 5.9 L6.  Changed the fuel filter tonight,
took it for a celebratory test drive.  Stopped somewhere for awhile, got back in the truck
and came home.  When I GOT home, it wouldn't turn off!  Found a shut-off switch below
the injector switch (lever), pushed it down, and it shut off.  But that's not a long term
solution.  What's going on?!
