blower moter for ac/heat not working

Asked by jb90 Feb 22, 2016 at 05:26 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed out resistor, and checked my blower
moter to make sure it still spun. I have not yet ran
power or ohms meter to the motor yet. Is there
anything else I should look for?

It is usually the resistor, or the blower motor, just run power to it to see if it works. You may want to check the fuse if the motor is bad, could have put too much draw on the system.

Where can I find the fuse? The diagram in the fuse box under the hood does not show I have a fuse to the motor, but I have pulled every fuse to see if any was burnt and found nothing.

If you checked all the fuses, then next would be to make sure the blower motor works on it own, if so then it would be the resistor. Also there may be 2 fuse boxes, look under the hood, and then inside on drivers side.
