2006 Dodge Ram 1500 won't start

I turn the key on and the dash lights and stereo light up, turn the key and nothing. I would have to turn the steering wheel from left to right before to get it to start. It took over 15 minutes tonight to try and get it to start, it finally did...any suggestions on whats wrong? When I turn the key, you hear just one click and that's it...I have full power, it just wont start?

Sounds ro me like your ignition switch needs to be replaced that or you have a short in the column
