how do i engage 4wheel drive on a 2004 dodge ram1500quad cab

never used 4 whel drive do i put in drive foot on brake and shift to 4h, or put fromnetrual
foot off brake and then shifrt  to4h

will depend on if you have switch and on the fly or if you have shift on the floor

I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 MegaCab and I always stop and put it in Neutral with foot on brake and the turn knob onto 4h. People say you can do it from drive but I think K it is better on your vehicle to do it from neutral.
