Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 2002 dodge raam 1500 5.9l gas has 3 related problems.
the fuel gauge reads dead empty. allt he way to the left. it has fuel. the voltage gauge reads 0. all the way left. battery has 12.4 the truck wont start. the fuel pump wont run. I let it sit for 20 minutes with the key on and the gauges woke up, it started and ran perfect. 5 minutes later the same problems were back.
tested relays, fueses, jumpered power to the fuel pump and it will work and has pressure. all connectors are clean. no chewed wires. Can anyoneone give me a specific location of the grounding locations for these components or how they are grounded? (instrument cluster and fuel pump relay).
Or.. any repair know to fix this issue. No vague answers please. i can guess on my own.

It was the PCM. I purchased an on-line manual and tested circuits. all the wiring, fuses, grounds and end of line components were fine.

Allcircuits ...thank you for posting what ended up being the problem. There were hints that I have PCM issues, same symptoms with the fuel gauge etc. Curious did you buy new, used programmed to your VIN or reflash your existing PCM?
