Dodge ram won't start or stay running

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. And I was able to
get a jump the one day it ran for about 2 minutes
sputtered and died even with trying to Rev it, it died
completely. What could be my issue before I invest
a lot of money into it.

Start diagnosing things, have the alternator and the battery checked out, check the fuel pressure also.
