Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,
I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter motor.
I just bought the truck used. When I start the truck
up it runs fone, when it worms up it starts blowing
air out of the backside of the carborator.
I changed the idle air control sensor.
Still have the problem.  When your driving the truck
you can here air comming out of the carberator
when your accelerating.
Any idea what this could be.
I changed the plugs, wires, distributor and rotor still
the same results.
Thanks

Everything is good. The air is coming out where the idle air control sensor is.

You need to replace the carb. it must have a crack were the sensor seats.

It's coming out of the port in front of the sensor on the carborator . You think it would be cracked in their.

Take a can of carburetor cleaner, have some one run the car at a high RPM. Spay the cleaner where you think the air leak might be. If you hit the spot where the air leak is, you will know it because the engine idle will change. When you find the leak, change the part
