My truck won't stay running

Asked by _Scoots_ Dec 27, 2015 at 07:20 PM about the 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 LT LB 4WD

Question type: General

I have a 1997 5.2L Dodge Ram 1500. Every once in a
while I'll go to start my truck, when it starts to turn over it
will run for a split second then shut off instantly. The only
way the truck stays running is if I give it has but as soon
as I let off it dies again. But this only happens like once a
week so I'm stumped. It couldn't be my battery or my
alternator because it turns over. Could it possibly by my
fuel pump or just the fuel filters?
