Oversized tires on a 2wd 2003 Chevy S 10

Asked by Domani_1521 Feb 04, 2017 at 11:42 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet S-10 RWD

Question type: Car Customization

So I just installed a 2 inch lift kit from rough country on
my 2wd,  base model, short bed, regular cab, four-
cylinder 2003 s10  and rough country state it on their
website that I could put 30 x 9.5 R 15's on the truck and
they would fit. Rough country was wrong and  i'm rubbing
on the inside of the wheel well.  I went and bought 15 x 7
with a 4 inch backspace Crager wheel  and they still rub
on the inside. I was then told to go by 2 inch wheel
spacers which I did and they do not rob on the inside
anymore, now they rob in front of the door behind  The tire
now so much so that I took the 2 inch wheel spacers off
the front and order to drive the  truck. Does anybody have
any suggestions?!?!

2wd? 4-cylinder? With 30's on it - your gas mileage must suck. That said, all you can try is another size space. If you wanted to get a little crazy you could mess with the caster, move the wheel forward some to get it away from rear of fender, but that is not for the faint of heart. That or learn to drive in a straight line forever.

I have a 2000 chevy s10 2x4 with a 3" left with spindles. I have 30x9.5x15 and they work perfect....gas mileage doesn't suck like some claim.
