Camaro Engine Swap with Tahoe

I have a 2001 3.8L V6 Camaro and am wanting to switch it over to a 5.7L V8. I
was planning on ordering an LS1 crate engine, however I heard I could put in a
5.7L Tahoe engine with a few more modifications and come out ALOT cheaper.
Has anyone done this or know if this is possible with the right components, as
different engine mounts and etc.?

This isn't really a performance forum, you would be better off joining a good Chevy forum, there are tons of them out there, find one with topics on engine swapping and performance upgrades are posted with how to guides.
