Chevrolet p1481: Faulty Fan Clutch Assembly - Fan Clutch Assembly harness is open or shorted - Fan Clutch Assembly circuit poor electrical connection

So do i just need to get a new fan clutch installed in it

I wouldn't think so at this point. I would run a direct power lead to the fan to see if it works first. Or first look at the wires to see if any visually are bad, and check the plugin, take it apart and see if there is corrosion on the terminals. Test for power at the plugin.

I already checked wires checked plugs for corrosion and everything. Looks good and also wen i turn car on the fan blows hard and makes a loud buzzing sound

I have an 02 trailblazer and I had a P1484 code come up . I had replaced my clutch fan less than a year ago . I removed the clutch fan from the vehicle and the plug on the back of the clutch had 4 of 4 wires going into it that were broken . I pulled the connectors out and replaced the wire . Works fine now. I would suggest checking any wires first before condemning the clutch itself

Hi so where is the fan clutch new to chevy blazer/2002 edition

The fan clutch is attached to the fan on the front of the engine. It screws into the front of the water pump. Hope that helps! Jim
