how often to change fluid and filter

I would do it every 30,000 miles unless the fluid turns dark. If it turns brown or black or smells burnt change it immediately.

    I am trying to remove a manual from my 99 Chevy Tracker. It is a 2 liter. All the bolts and nuts I can find are removed.(I think.) It still seems to be stuck at the bottom. Any ideas? Thanks. Jim
