Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Triton engine are alot more than the others. I have a 2005 f150 vin 5 that

required?

You can find a re-manufactured motor on ebay for $2600. You just need to assemble it with some of the parts off your old motor like sensors, throttle body and so forth. Then install it. Anything is possible tho if you have time and money to throw at it. Your computer, gauges and so forth would all have to be redone to match what your putting in for the replacement. Not sure what state your in but you have to think about passing smog if your state has you smog check your vehicles. What I'm actually looking into is replacing my 2005 5.4L vin 5 with a newer Coyote 5.0L motor. I been doing a lot of research and when I figure it all out and its doable I will post it. Good luck my friend!
