check plugs, wires, and coil before making any purchases. If you have a spark plug miss or two on an engine you may not be able to hear or feel it at idle. Once the engine is under load, like accelerating, and trying to pull the vehicle, the miss becomes obvious.

i have 1997 ford f150 with the 5.4 Triton, Lariat edition. code showed bank 1 misfire. replace plug and coil.. then threw bank 2 misfire. i actually switched bank one and two coils. no codes now.. no check engine light.. truck still sputters when accelerating.. have changed fuel filter, two plugs in bank one and two, bank 2 injector, PCV valve, Idle air control valve, changed oil and filter, changed air filter and even took throttle body off and cleaned it.. still sputtering during acceleration.. Oxygen sensors check ok according to obdii test.. Any suggestions?
