transmission overdrive problem

my truck just revs the engine when it shifts into overdrive at about 42 miles an
hour. could this be a transmission range sensor and where is it located or do i
have to rebuild or replace trans. thank you Billy

2000 f150 tranny starts out fine in over drive after a couple min just revs have to turn off then only drives in lower gears
2009 F150 140K miles @ 30-45 MPH my truck seems to chatter some or jerking when shifting from 3rd - OD....thoughts

Your od solenoid is inside the transmission. It is a c clip. Take off transmission pan and the next layer off and you will see there is a lock c clip that breaks off and will not let over drive build up pressure. 50 cent clip at napa
