The high beams are stuck on in my 2002 Impala and won't switch off

For the longest time the multifunction switch would not click the high beams on. When I turned on my turn signal, somehow the high beams switched ON and will not go off.

I have a 2005 Chevy Impala the high beams are stuck in the on position so when I turn the car off the high beams stay on and drains my battery if I remove the bulbs temporarily will that keep from draining my battery even though the light on the dash still shows the high beams being on temporarily

When switch the low beam to high only the high beam comes on and of course the low work properly .is that the dimmer switch
