I'd check the operation of the solenoid~ these things are usually trouble free but with water, precipitation...Lo temperatures...could be having problems getting up in the morning~

Make sure your battery passes a load test - if so you have a bad/dirty connection. Remove cable ends clean both ends as well as posts - reinstall

Cable and posts have no corrosion--would battery affect even though I was jumping with running vehicle. Cranking was slow when I restarted engine earlier in day after driving 200 miles. Do you think it could be starter?

NAPA will load test your starter for free!~

U don't want to be guessing, make sure battery is charged, cables are clean and connections are tight, specially the cable going to the starter, if everything checks out, replace starter. Assuming the truck didn't overheat when u drove it. Try rotating engine by hand to make sure engine is not locked up

How do you know the battery is good? It could have 12 volts but only 10 cranking amps. Meaning it's bad. Remove the battery and bring it to an auto center to have the cranking amps checked. Also, Charge the fully with a charger. An alternator will not restore a severely low amperage battery. Besides, you can damage the alternator trying to do so.
