Fuel pressure regulator is the most likely candidate, has it ever been tuned? Like cap rotor plugs and wires. Is the check engine light on? 02 sensor can get contaminated when this happens so even if you have an 02 sensor code it's not the problem they will probably get cleaned when the engine runs right again

The engine light has been on sense i got the car but it wasn't anything serious the O2 sensor is throwing a code its bank 2 sensor 2 or something along those lines. The car had a wire and plug replacement a couple of months ago because it had an engine miss.

If the sensor is not faulty, it needs to be checked. If the sensor is good, then the engine is either running rich or lean. When you had it scanned, the bank 2 sensor should have been followed by either rich or lean. Either condition can damage your vehicle. Plugging up the cat converter is a possibility. Have it scanned again and note the entire definition. Then search on the net the cause of the fault for your particular make and model. There will be a few possibilities to narrow the cause.
