why does my chevey impalla start and the dies soon after

will turn over and start runs for about 5 min then shuts down and wont start again for little while

could the security system be acting up? if equipped! could an over rich mix from a faulty control be flooding the plugs? hold peddle to metal for a flooded engine or pull pump fuse to dry plugs

May be b/c of the cold, thats what happened to mine and when it warmed up outside it started and stayed on and impalas are known for that

Have an 09 impala . Always flooded on cold start. Took it to go and they said it needed a lower intake mana fold gasket they would fix for 800 $ before tax . I repaaced it myself in about 12 hours ( first timer ) problem solved. Hope this helps someone
