Audi A4 Quattro 2005 Acceleration Problem

Asked by Kim Oct 25, 2020 at 09:01 PM about the 2005 Audi A4 1.8T quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought an Audi from a private owner recently, has about 190,000 miles on
it. When i drove it back home it was just driving just fine but now when i try to
drive it around it has issues with the acceleration. It happens everytime i start it
up to drive and everytime after i stop, im not sure what could be causing it I
had already had the fuel filter changed. A friend said it could be because it has
a new battery and has to be reset/programmed to the cars computer? Anyone
has an idea if this might be true or if it could be stemming from something else
entirely?

I hope you did not pay more than a grand for your car! Your friend may be right but you are probably going to have to go to an Audi specialist.
