2004 Chevy Trailblazer driver door lock repair or replacement

The driver side door lock is not functioning.The key, when inserted turns in both directions but does not  engage the locking mechanism. Obviously, the lock itself needs to be repaired or replaced. What is the procedure for accessing and removing the door lock?

there's usually a couple few screws by the handle and then a bunch of plastic retainers , U- TOOB has many videos on a variety of vehicles , you never know what little part has to be popped out to get to the screws
