How do I unplug the little harness from the 2004 Malibu Alternator. The engine compartment is packed full of unnecessary stuff and so that if I am unwilling to do the labor, we pay for someone else to

Question type: General

How do I unplug the little harness of wires from the front of the 2004 Malibu alternator.  I do not want to remove the alternator, just want to test some things out because I am learning about how foolish design was back then from the 80's to recent years.

There is usually a tab that you depress to release the plug. What are you testing?
