I went to go start my 2000 Toyota tundra 4.7 v8

I went to go start my tundra and its makes a
whirring noise trying to start it replaced the starter
amd its still doing the same thing it did before I
replaced the starter

Without hearing the noise, we can't really say for sure. If the whirring is the starter, then it is working but maybe not engaging the flywheel?
