I have a Sequoia with a new lock cylinder but the engine cranks but doesnt start

i have a 2002 toyota sequioa and i just recently installed a new lock cylinder
but now when i try to start it, the engine cranks but doesnt start. The battery is
all charged up and i just recently changed the alternator. Could it be i need a
new starter? or is it more of a connection problem?

If you replaced the lock cylinder with a new key, the issue is the key and lock need to be programmed aka flashed to the vehicle to start it. It's all part of the anti theft system. A locksmith, mechanic or dealer can help you.
