My 05 chevy impala wont turn over

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car will turn completely on. It will even make a clicking
noise like it wants to start but won't. I have tried starter
fluid, checked my battery and all of that is fine. Before this
happened when i was at a stop light my car would jump a
little when stopped but when driving would be fine. Then go
to work, turned the car off and it won't start now. What
could it be?

Turning over is starter motor action, cranking the engine. Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark--proper fuel pressure--fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes? What about your security system? Now, if the starter motor won't even crank the engine, have to check that wiring system.
