Won't start after replacing broken starter on 92 Toyota paseo

Could their be a short in wiring or what

Is it turning the engine over? Check at auto-zone battery load test, check or replace Battery terminals & terminal wires. Check for tight connections. Check ground wires from frame to battery & frame to engine Grounds, Check them for shorts, corrosion, frayed, melted or burned. Check all fuses under dash & under hood and Computer ground & fuse. Have alternator tested at auto-zone too.
