2001 Echo Won't Start

2001 Echo was running fine until I replaced the PCV valve and spark plugs.
When I was done I went to start the car and there was no sound at all when I
turned the key. Charged the battery and then tried to start the car again and
there was a faint cranking sound and then clicking of the starter and then
nothing.

Double check all the connects to the starter motor and battery again, look at all grounds somethings corroded or loose, make sure all ignition circuit wires are connected. Did you fully charge the battery 12.6 volts?

Thanks so much for your reply. I I should have added that when I put jumper cables on the echo starts right away and runs very smoothly but it only goes about a half a city block before dying. When I put the jumper cables back on again it does the same thing and travels about another half a block and then stops. When it is running there are no error codes or or anything showing on the display that anything is wrong.

Talked to Toyota mechanic and he told me that since the car runs fine for a short time after using jumper cables that it was just coincidental that my battery died right when I was doing spark plug replacement and putting in a new PCV valve. He was 100% right on! Put in new battery and car purrs like a kitten. The guy is brilliant. That's to every one for their advice.
