It's not as easy as it may seem at first. It The 2000 Corolla came with two possible automatic transmissions, a 3 speed or four speed, the 4 -speed has a button under the bigger Interlock button, which you can use to kick it out of 4th, or Overdrive. In either case, you have to re-wire it, not simply unscrew the knob and screw another one on. That means removing entire shifter and re-wiring underneath console, or cut and splice wires at top. I am not saying it can not be done, but think before you begin..is it really worth it?

Here is one with a 'trigger' instead of button. Granted, it does look cool, note the wires..... (click on it) but will not work if you have 4 -speed

I really appreciate your help :) unfortunately my corolla is a 4 speed so after everything you told me I don't think it's worth it at least for now
