Car turning over on it's its on when battery cable hooked back up.

I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt LT.  Why is it trying to
turn over by itself when I hook the battery or up?

Did you just replace the starter or mess with its wiring? Maybe you dropped a tool down onto the starter posts if you had been working on it recently
