Can the security alarm be replaced in a 1997 Toyota Celica GT

The alarm on my '97 Celica GT would sound off at odd hours, so I just turned it off, but would really like having this system working, as I love my car, which is in good condition and I plan on keeping it forever.

If it were me and I lived in an area that was safe ... I would have the horn turned of when I locked the car .. The rest of the anti-theft would still work ... just no horn
