if the timing belt is worn that may be the cause , if nothing else left it's a possibility , if they put a scope on it it'll show

you could even scan for codes and trouble shoot instead of buying parts

It might be your fuel pump relay. You will have to google it's location on your car, mine was under the dash behind the glove box. It sounds like you may have changed a lot of unnecessary things. If an engine starts and runs correctly for 5 seconds, then the timing belts, timing, plugs, injectors, alternator, battery, are probably all good. Most likely it is a fuel problem. The fuel pump relay controls the running of the fuel pump, and if it is bad, it may allow the pump to run while starting but not when the starter is not running, and starving the motor for fuel after you let up on the key. A Fuel filter, is either plugged or it's not, but could after the engine quits, if there is plenty of pressure in the line, could allow some fuel to get through after a minute or so, and then when you try to start it again it will run until it is starved for furl again.
