Running hot

Hi, my NAME is SidneyNewsome. I
changed the water pump and the
thermostat even though it doesn't run
hot in Park for long periods maybe an
hour or so . but while driving it . it's start
to go up in temperature for about3 to
4minutes then it's running hot to where
u have to pull over . I hope that you can
answer my question . thanks

If you think the thermostat is ok, then you probably did not purge the cooling system after refilling it. The cooling system needs to be purged from air pockets. Here is a video on how to do that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeTgmdRkQtY
