How do you re set the check engine light?  I disconnected the negative battery cable for a few minutes.   The check engine light continued to display flashing.

did you fix the problem that made the light come on???

I found a vacuum line unplugged, attached it, also changed the air filter, the check engine light still comes back on, after disconnect of the negative battery cable.

    i spliced in wire on coil pack harness i guess the key was on i heard a spark now car won't start up
