When the weather is far below freezing my gas pedal doesn't return after depressing it, meaning that it's pretty tough to drive when it's really cold. Any ideas how to fix it?

Hello, The sticking gas pedal problem was very common in Camrys of the 80's. (Doesn't that sound like a VH1 special? But I digress...) The recommended action then was to clean the throttle body. This is still the best place to start for this kind of problem. Just do so carefully, so as not to knock anything else out of whack. Best of luck! CarGrrl

What would be the cause of a' 00 Camry to sputter and be hard to start after sitting cold for a few hours? Just replaced the transmission in it but it sat for a few weeks without being cranked 2 Answers

if I keep cranking it, it will eventually turn over but sputter until I rev the engine up

I went to the mechanic who changed the ERG valve in and reset the code. He said its a generic code and he couldn't do anything else. I went to the toyota dealer who said they would have to change the vavle again since that's the code!!! the smog shop couldn't help they don't give detailed info on 2000 and above vehicles. So I need to pass smog and no one can help. it could be anything with the PO 401 code. I need to find out what it is and fix it. it's a 2000 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder. 7 Answers

I installed a new stereo in my 2004 Camry, but something cause my dash lights to burn out. I found the fuse and replaced it but it didn't turn on the dash lights.
