What causes the Left turn signal to work intermittently on my 1993 Toyota Camry?

Left turn signal sometimes works ok, and sometimes it stops flashing while I wait to make a left turn.

replace that left bulbs / clean sockets and replace the flasher $10..should fix it..also spray some wd40 into the turn signal switch and work it....
