can I use 5W30 oil?

Hello This really depends on the age of your car and the climate of where you live. Toyota originally recommended 10w30 for these cars, but you may want to use a thicker or thinner oil based on mileage and weather. I normally would not put 5 in a car unless in a cold climate. Of course, now is the perfect time of year to winterize your car, so this could be a good move. So, yes, you can use this oil, but I would only do so if you are living somewhere cold. If so, keep warm =) CarGrrl
