TIRE SIZE IS 225/60/16..TIRES RUB INSIDE REAR WHEEL WELL WHEN PASSENGERS IN REAR..WOULD GOING TO A 225/50-45/16 MAKE DIFFERENCE?

to wide a tire also check tire pressure,also has car been lowered.

You might be exceeding the load limit. Car is 10 years old. Might be time to have the rear suspension replaced.

Yes, check struts, etc., and strut mounts, as well as other rear susp. components. Check rear alignment, has car been hit before?
